Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak, Secretary-General of the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi, EAD, has expressed her pride in the contributions made by Emirati women under the wise leadership and vision of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
In a statement, Al Mubarak stressed that the UAE has the smallest gender gap in the region, in addition to equal pay and equal opportunities. "There is no field in which Emirati women have not excelled," she added.
The EAD Secretary-General went on to say that there is no glass ceiling that women have not broken as they have become police officers, army officers, fighter pilots, doctors, government officials, heads of private sector companies, space researchers, environmentalists, scientists, divers, and marine biologists, among many professions.
"We are standing side-by-side with our fellow Emirati men, building a future, creating and driving aspirations for this young country that knows no boundaries," Al Mubarak concluded.
