The Dubai-based facilities management firm, Hitches & Glitches — FM (H&G) on Wednesday said that it is foraying into commercial property and infrastructure sector and announced that it has won a contract from the Ministry of Education (MoE) for the upkeep and maintenance of schools in the Northern Emirates. H&G, which has carved niche for itself as a top notch facilities management (FM) leader with a highly visible presence in Dubai said its entry into the commercial property and infrastructure sector was part of a strategic expansion to enhance its footprints across the UAE. “For us the foray into the commercial property and infrastructure is a natural and diagonal expansion leveraging our acknowledged strength in the FM segment. We are confident that we will be able to replicate our success in the residential domain to the commercial and infrastructure as well,” said Mr. Malay Shroff, Chief operating Officer, H&G. He said the FM contract from the Ministry of Education was a significant win and came as an endorsement of H&G’s capabilities and expertise in arresting erosion of asset values of properties by proper upkeep and smooth maintenance with the help of skilled workforce and modern technology. “Under the terms of the agreement with the Ministry, we are mandated for the upkeep and maintenance of over 100 schools in Umm Al Qwain and Ras Al Khaimah and we have already started activating the project. H&G, the largest private sector FM company made its mark catering to the up-market residential clusters of New Dubai including Emirates Hills, The Palm, Jumeirah Village, Meadows, Arabian Ranches and Al-Barsha.
