Customs Chief, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, today announced that as part of the decision taken by the Customs Affairs in respect of stopping issuing cards for trucks crossing the King Fahad Causeway starting from Thursday 3 July 2014, the Customs Affairs and General Directorate of Traffic yesterday held a meeting to overcome trucks traffic congestion at the King Fahad Causeway.
It was decided that the Logistics Area in Hidd Industrial City will be allocated as a trucks assembly area starting from 9 July 2014, and trucks that arrive first at the assembly area will have crossing priority over other trucks.
Customs Chief said that the decision will contribute to the safety of trucks drivers and causeway users.
