Upon a new law, investors seeking industrial business to be established in investment and free zones will be able to get permits from the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), said Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabeel.
Addressing a news conference on the executive regulations of the law on issuing industrial permits, Qabeel said the rules of the investment law will not run counter to that of the new law.
He argued that "there is integration between both acts".
The new law is another step of the government's efforts to improve the investment climate, said the minister.
He noted that a law on SMEs will be amended as part of these efforts.
