The trade volume of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) hit $3.43 trillion during the period from 2005 to 2015, the Islamic Center for Development of Trade said on Sunday.
The OIC's 10-year program of action 2005-2015 was successful and contributed to the improvement of the growth rate, which increased from $1.77 trillion in 2005 to $3.43 trillion in 2015, representing an increase of 93%, the center said.
The center attributed the increase to the price fluctuation of traded goods including hydrocarbons and the implementation of projects financed by the Islamic Development Bank.
