President of the Jordan Businessmen Association (JBA) Hamdi Tabaa on Monday discussed with Moroccan Ambassador to Jordan Al Hassan Abdel Khaliq, means of forging closer economic and trade relations between Jordan and Morocco. The two sides called for facilitating air transport between the two countries and working to increase the number of tourists visiting the two countries. They also discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of tourism, health car, pharmaceuticals, Dead Sea products and IT and exchange expertise in the energy field. Tabaa also reviewed with the ambassador means of setting up joint investment projects and boosting trade and investment ties between the two countries. Jordan’s exports to Morocco stood at JD11 million in 2011 while imports amounted to JD12 million.
