The General Manager of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in African Abdal-Aziz Khalaf has stressed importance of consolidating the efforts of the financing institutions for the development in Africa.
He urged, in statements to SUNA on the sidelines of the 74th Regular Meeting of the Arab and Regional Development Financing Institutions held Wednesday at Al-Salam Hotel, support of the progress of Arab-African cooperation through supporting all productive and service sectors in the African countries, specially the infrastructure, agriculture, rural development, energy, education and health to achieve development leap in the continent of Africa.
The meeting discussed a couple of issues including information exchange on the new projects, follow-up the outcome of Third Afro-Arab Summit and the outcome of the 13th Meeting of the Chairpersons of the Coordination Group.
The meeting also reviewed the outcome of the meeting of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in México on the Global Partnership for the Efficiency of Aid along follow-up of the initiative on financing the projects of renewal energy in the developing countries.
The meeting, which lasted for three days, is to conclude sessions Wednesday evening.
