Lebanese President Michel Sleiman
Riyadh - SPA

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has explained that its intensive efforts during the protection's investigation carried out by the Ministry of Economy and Trade of Lebanon resulted in ending the investigation without imposing fees against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's exports of raw materials used for the formation of plastics.
In a statement today, the Ministry said that the authority of the Lebanese investigation found out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is of a substantial interest in the investigation as it is considered as the largest exporter of the product under investigation.
It is worth mentioning that based on a complaint from the Lebanese industry affected by increased imports of raw material forming plastics from the Arab countries, especially the Kingdom; European countries and Turkey, the Lebanese investigation's authority had begun, on September 19, the protection investigation in the case.
