Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr inspected on Sunday development projects being implemented by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority in North Sinai.
She lauded the progress realized so far in the projects, noting that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had given directives to swiftly accomplish development projects in North Sinai.
She noted that development partners bankrolled the projects.
The Saudi Fund for Development extended 340 million dollars for such projects.
Several Arab funds, including the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), contributed to the projects, she added.
KAFED earmarked dlrs 900 million for establishing six water desalination stations, she said.
She noted that the new investment law encourages investment in most needy areas.
