Qatar lends Tunisia $500m

Tunisia’s Central Bank announced today the finalization of a Qatari loan of over $500 million to Tunisia as a private investment. The communiqué issued by the Central Bank mentioned additionally that the annual interest rate of the loan is 2.5 %. The loan will be paid off at the end of a period of 5 years by the exact date of April 18th, 2017. The $500 million loan amounts to around 750 million Tunisian dinars.
