The First Vice-President of the Republic, Lt.
Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, has affirmed the commitment of Sudan to
implement the resolutions and recommendations of the General Conference
of the Arab Union for Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture
which was held in Khartoum.
During his meeting with heads of delegations participating the Conference , the First Vice President got acquainted with outcome of the Conference in relation to investment in the food field in Sudan as it was asserted in initiative of President of the Republic on Arab Food Security, which was adopted in the Economic Summit in Riyadh.
Dr Mustafa Osman Ismail said in press statement following the meeting
that the First Vice-President of the Republic briefed the delegations on ongoing economic reforms in the country and the arrangements being made with regard to implementation of the initiative of President of the Republic on Arab Food Security.
Dr. Ismail pointed out that the participants have reiterated their support
to the President's initiative and expressed their pledge to contribute to the implementation of the initiative.
He said that the conferees was assured the measures of the Government for protecting and encouraging the Arab investments in Sudan, underlining that the participants have commended the Investment Act for the year 2013.
