The 60th session of the Technical, Scientific Advisory Committee of the Arab Ministerial Council of Housing and Construction kicked off at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo Sunday.
The meeting was chaired by Egyptian Housing Minister's Advisor Hussein Al-Gebali and Kuwait was represented in the meeting by a delegation headed by Director General of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare Bader Al-Waqayyan.
"The meeting will be held over three days and will tackle different aspects of Arab cooperation in the housing and construction domain," Al-Gebali told reporters on the sidelines of the meeting.
He added the Advisory committee members would review a report about the work of the Arab committee for unifying construction codes.
They would also discuss the perpetrations for 78th session Executive Office of Arab Housing Ministerial Council, to be held on Wednesday, as well as preparation for the upcoming Arab housing conference, celebration of the Arab housing day, slated for October 2, and the Arab Ministerial Council's housing prize, said Al-Waqayyan.
The conferees would touch upon the efforts exerted to expand cooperation with regional and international organizations, particularly the UN-Habitat.
