Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Kinda al-Shammat called for ratcheting up humanitarian aid in the areas where security and stability have been restored recently in Hama province.
Al-Shammat’s remarks came during a visit she paid to Hama province where she chaired a meeting at the governorate’s building to discuss the humanitarian situation and aid deliveries in the province.
The minister indicated that her visit aims to “smooth over the problems that marred the structure of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent organization and negatively impacted its humanitarian work.”
Al-Shammat called for providing psychological support to families and children, underlining the need to care for displaced families outside makeshift centers who are facing “no less difficult financial and social conditions.”
