Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner said Monday that her country hopes to boost trade ties with China, especially in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry. As a major global producer and exporter of farm produce, Argentina expects more investment from Chinese entrepreneurs in the country's agriculture and animal husbandry industry, and closer cooperation on agricultural production and trade, Kirchner told visiting Shanghai mayor Han Zheng. Han said he had felt the keen interest and sincerity from Argentine entrepreneurs in expanding trade cooperation with China during his visit. He said the prospects for bilateral cooperation are promising. Han also met Buenos Aires mayor Mauricio Macri on Monday and signed a letter of intent on strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two cities.
