Undersecretary for International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa today received US Acting Secretary of State for the Near East Affairs, Stuart E. Jones.
Dr. Shaikh Abdullah took pride in the ever-growing, solid and historically deep-rooted relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States and looked forward to developing bilateral cooperation to further reinforce the strategic relations and growing partnership and to address the various regional and global challenges.
He pointed out that the Kingdom of Bahrain, based on common denominators shared with the United States, comprehensive reforms and sustainable development achievements, is absolutely keen to push forward to maintaining these strategic relations between the two allied friends and support the all efforts being exerted to preserve regional security and stability, combating terrorism of all sorts and serving international peace causes.
They also discussed the outstanding bilateral relations and ways of bolstering them in all fields of cooperation for common interests in addition to reviewing the latest developments in the region and issues of common concern.
