Commander of Oman's Air Force Major General Yahya bin Rashed al-Jomeh conferred Monday with Air Force commander Brigadier General Hassan Shah-Safi on expansion of military, scientific, technical and educational cooperation between the two sides. According to the public relations department of Iran’s Air force, in the meeting the two commanders called for expansion of military and aviation cooperation as well as utilization of each other's educational facilities. Shah-Safi voiced Iran’s willingness to hold joint air drills with neighboring countries such as Oman. Exchange of views between senior military commanders indicate friendship, brotherhood and deep cooperation among countries of the region, said the Iranian Air Force commander. The Omani air force commander, for his part, expressed happiness with his visit and called for expansion of all-out scientific cooperation between Oman and Iran. During its stay in Iran, the Omani military delegation is to visit various facilities of the Iranian Air Force in Tehran and Isfahan and get acquainted with the latest achievements and success of the Iranian Air Force.
