Iran and an Indonesian company are in talks to export 1.5 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year to Indonesia, an Iranian energy official said. Managing Director of Iran''s LNG Company Ali Kheirandish told (Fars) news agency that the first round of talks over LNG exports to the southeastern Asian country has been held between the two sides. The Iranian official said that Iran''s LNG Company and the Indonesian company will discuss about a pricing mechanism, which is based on oil prices, in the next round of talks. Iran will provide Indonesia with LNG cargos after 2013 once the deal is finalized, Kheirandish said without revealing the name of the Indonesian company.
