Russia's JSC GSKB Almaz-Antey company has signed an agreement with Iran's Shiraz Electronics Industries to modernize Iran's aircraft navigation system, semi-official Fars news agency reported on Wednesday.
Based on the agreement, both sides will cooperate in joint scientific research, developments, production, supplies and maintenance of equipment and its components for managing air traffic, communications, navigation and surveillance, the report said.
On Monday, it was announced here that Iran and France's Airbus will start cooperation to produce airplane spare parts in near future.
"Negotiations have been held with Airbus to cooperate with Iran to manufacture airplane spare parts, and the cooperation will start soon," said Manouchehr Manteghi, managing director of Iran Aviation Industries Organization.
