Iranian Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology Reza Taghipour said on Monday in Beijing Iran-China cooperation would be fruitful for the two nations. “Accordingly I will discuss the ways of expanding ties with relevant Chinese officials especially about Internet, Software and networking, he said upon his arrival in Beijing. Taghipour is on a visit to China upon an invitation from his Chinese counterpart on the occasion of the 40the anniversary of initiating the two countries diplomatic ties. The minister added that as far as China has a very good record in Information Technology, Iran keeps the eyes on the country in line with the Five-Year Economic, Social and Cultural Development Plan to develop the infrastructures of electronic administration. Taghpour told IRNA that Iranian officials will sign an agreement with the Chinese officials and will propose to hold a joint cooperation commission. He is scheduled to visit Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Technology Lee ei Jong tomorrow.
