The United Kingdom announced it will increase the amount of funds granted to Jordan this year to reach quarter billion US dollars.
Priti Patel, UK's secretary for International Development, said that she looks forward to the upcoming Brussels conference to focus on supporting countries that have welcomed refugees in order to help with its economic development and create more job opportunities fore the welfare of its citizens and refugees.
She referred to the regional instability which makes the market in the region tough, hoping that the UK-supported trade deal that will allow Jordanian exporters easier access to the EU market, by provide refugees with training and job opportunities in Jordan.
She stressed the UK's commitment to support Jordan in its path to economic development and provide a prosperous life for the refugees on its land between 2017 to 2019.
An international Brussels conference will be held in April 2017 to discuss means of supporting countries hosting refugees.
