The United States is proud to be a partner in the IMF program to support Egypt’s economy, the US Embassy in Cairo tweeted on Friday.
The US embassy’s statement comes after Cairo received the second tranche of a $12 billion loan from the IMF.
On Thursday, the US has expressed its support for the IMF board vote to disburse the tranche of $1.25 billion.
