Abdul Latif Jameel Land (ALJL), one of Saudi Arabia’s major property developers, has announced that it is investing SR200 million to develop four fully integrated Toyota sales and service facilities in Makkah, Hofuf, Yanbu and Hail.
These projects come as part of Abdul Latif Jameel’s recently announced planned investment of SR7.5 billion in Saudi Arabia over the next five years, including SR2 billion in 2016. This also reaffirms the company’s readiness to support the Kingdom’s national agenda for economic diversification, as outlined in Vision 2030.
The new customer-centric facilities will feature dedicated areas for showrooms, along with aftersales service and maintenance centers. The construction of these projects began on Aug. 1, with the aim for them to be fully operational by the end of 2017.
ALJL will be developing a total built up area of 47,000 sqm across the four locations. This will include an expansion of Toyota’s service infrastructure in Saudi Arabia by 142 service stalls. This is in addition to the 301 new service stalls that are currently being developed. These 443 new service stalls will complement the existing 1,335 service stalls that are already in place in Toyota’s service centers across Saudi Arabia.
Ammar Izziddin, MD, Tatweer Jameel, an ALJL subsidiary and the development manager of the four new locations, commented: "By utilizing the company’s pool of expertise in construction and development, and by leveraging our longstanding relationships with leading contractors and blue chip consultancy bureaus in the industry, we are confident that these projects will be executed to the best quality standards.”
ALJL is the primary developer of Abdul Latif Jameel’s developments and corporate facilities. The company’s recent projects include Abdul Latif Jameel’s recently announced corporate headquarters in Jeddah, as well as the world’s largest Lexus Center in Riyadh, which was inaugurated in May.
