ArabNet Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s leading forum focused on digital business in the Kingdom and the Gulf countries, will open in Riyadh on Monday.
The upcoming event will focus on the fast-evolving digital economy in Saudi Arabia and will discuss ways to tap opportunities in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, which aims at diversifying the economy.
More than 1,000 professionals from around the world are expected to attend the forum this year.
With governments and businesses investing heavily in digital and mobile integration to improve efficiency and service quality, experts at the event are expected to highlight ways to make effective use of information technology.
According to ArabNet Riyadh, this year’s forum will focus on three main tracks: Business, media and entrepreneurship.
Among those expected to speak at the forum include Prince Turki bin Saud Al-Saud, president of the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), Ali bin Saleh Al-Soma, secretary-general of the National ICT Plan and Ashraf Al-Hassan, digital marketing director, National Agricultural Development Company (NADEC).
The three-day forum will also have panel discussions on “Fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the Kingdom,” “Government role in driving innovation in the GCC,” “Digital transformation of communication and business models” and “Data-driven marketing: From data capture to personalization.”
The event will also highlight the achievements of top entrepreneurs, startups and game developers through its staple Startup Demo.
The basic aim of ArabNet Riyadh is to help boost the growth of the web and mobile sectors in the region through innovative.
It aims at building business bridges across the MENA; stimulate growth of knowledge-based economy and support creation of new businesses and job opportunities for the youth.
