The Ministry of Labor and Social Development signed an agreement with the Saudi Hypermarkets Company (Carrefour) to provide stalls for 300 Saudi women in their various departments in the Kingdom to display their products for sale.
The agreement was signed by Frederic Levy-Perrault, Carrefour MD for Saudi Arabia, and Moneim bin Yassin Al-Shehri, assistant deputy minister of labor for special programs, this week.
The supermarket operator is among the leaders in promoting Saudization and recently was awarded by Riyadh Gov. Prince Khaled bin Bandar for Saudization.
According to the agreement, the employer will provide a conducive work environment for the women to work in privacy and will be given employment within a period of three months.
