The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 102 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Friday, edging slightly lower from its levels seen in New York overnight.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 102.32-35 yen compared with 102.44-54 yen in New York and 101.59-60 yen at 5 p.m. Thursday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1267-1268 dollars and 115.28-29 yen against 1.1256-1266 dollars and 115.32-42 yen in New York and 1.1268-1269 dollars and 114.47-51 yen in late trade in Tokyo on Thursday afternoon.
