The U.S. dollar stayed firm at the lower 77 yen level in Tokyo on Thursday after rising overnight amid receding concerns over Europe's debt crisis. At 5 p.m., the dollar traded at 77.13-14 yen against 77.21-31 yen in New York and 76.64-65 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday. It moved between 77.03 yen and 77.29 yen during the day, changing hands most frequently at 77.08 yen. The euro was quoted at 1.3809-3810 dollar and 106.51-55 yen against 1.3787-3797 dollar and 106.47-57 yen in New York and 1. 3688-3689 dollar and 104.91-95 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon.
