Hong Kong shares close 3.26% higher

Hong Kong shares closed 3.26 percent higher on Thursday, mirroring rises in other Asian markets, after European leaders announced a plan aimed at resolving the region's crippling debt crisis. The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 622.16 points to 19,688.70 on turnover of HK$93.92 billion ($12.08 billion).
