Hong Kong shares down 1.61% in early trade

Hong Kong shares dropped 1.61 percent in early trade on Thursday ahead of a G20 summit in France that is set to convene amid mounting fears over Europe's debt crisis. The benchmark Hang Seng Index was down 317.6 points to 19,416.11 in the first few minutes of trade.
