Russia’s largest gold producer Polyus Gold has agreed to sell its Romanian enterprises, Romaltyn Mining SRL and Romaltyn Exploration SRL, to Kazakh-based SAT & Company metallurgical holding firm for $20 million, Polyus Gold said on Friday. The deal is scheduled to be closed in the second quarter of 2012, Polyus said in a statement. The two enterprises "hold rights to various mining assets in Romania including a gold treatment plant with a capacity of 2.5 million tons of ore and tailings annually (currently not in operation) and a number of exploration properties."
