The Qatar Exchange was down on Wednesday 1.77 points or 0.02% to 8,155.71 points from the previous closing of 8,157.48. The volume of shares traded was down to 4,572,051 from 7,025,223 on Tuesday, and the value of shares fell to QR209,379,513.69 from QR328,796,841.60 Tuesday. Among the top losers were Intl. Islamic Bank whose share dropped by 0.95% to QR52.30, Qatar Insurance fell 0.90% to QR77.30, Qatar Telecom lost 1.02% to QR14.30 and Gulf warehousing Co down 2.08% to QR33.00. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector added 14.00 points while the Insurance sector down 60.51 points. The Qatar industrial sector lost 26.10 points and the Services sector fell 2.55 points.
