Qatar exchange down 0.46%

The Qatar Exchange down on Monday 40.14 points or 0.46% to 8,653.07 points from the previous closing of 8,693.21 points. The volume of shares traded fell to 5,988,882 from 6,608,301 on Sunday, and the value of shares decreased to QR308,459,132.81 from QR356,478,940.19 Sunday. Among the top losers were Qatar Islamic Bank whose share dropped 5.00% to QR72.20, Qatar Insurance lost 4.68% to QR53.00, United Development Company fell 7.03% to QR17.20 and Doha Insurance down 0.88% to QR28.00. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector dropped 0.23 points while the Insurance sector lost 3.84 points. The Qatar industrial sector gained 0.56 points and the Services sector up 0.89 points.
