The Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Wednesday adding 4.07 points or 0.05% to 8,784.52 points from 8,780.45 Tuesday. The volume of shares traded fell to 8,075,422 from 12,487,808 on Tuesday and the value of shares down to QR274,790,540.65 from QR406,719,480.29 Tuesday. Top gainers were Intl. Islamic Bank which was up 0.74% to QR54.50, Masref Al Rayan by 0.91% to QR27.80, United Dev. Company by 0.77% to QR26.20 and Industries Qatar up by 0.08% to QR133.00. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 17.03 while the Insurance sector up 17.29 points. The Qatar industrial sector rose 11.26 points and the Services sector lost 8.03 points.
