Tokyo stocks ended lower Tuesday, as overseas losses sparked by political uncertainty in Greece prompted investors in Tokyo to avoid risk. The Nikkei Stock Average closed at 8,900.74, down 73.10 points, or 0.81%, its lowest point since Feb. 3, when it hit 8,831, according to (Nikkei) website. A broad range of issues, mostly major exporters, fell due to the yen's strength against the euro. But in late trading stocks came off their lows as buyers moved in on hopes for a short-term rebound, leaving the benchmark index to hover around 8,900.
