Tokyo stocks fell Monday for the first time in three sessions, as the Japanese yen's continued strength raised concerns over local companies' business conditions.
The Nikkei Stock Average dropped 70.39 points, or 0.4%, to 15751.13 after a 71.68-point rise Friday.
Analysts said that investors should be on guard against further declines in Tokyo shares amid a rally in the yen.
