Japanese stocks fell in Thursday morning trading as exporters were hit by the yen's rise to a 10-year high against the euro according to dpa. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average lost 61.29 points, or 0.73 per cent, to 8,362.33 by the midday break at 11:30 am (0230 GMT). The broader Topix index fell 2.45 points, or 0.34 per cent, to trade at 719.00. On currency markets at 11:15 am, the euro was quoted at 100.52-56 yen, down from 101.61-65 late Wednesday, and at 1.2920-22 dollars, down from 1.3062-64 dollars. The dollar traded at 77.81-83 yen, barely changed from 77.79-81 yen late Wednesday.
