Egyptian Exchange Chairman Mohamed Omran said the bourse witnessed a leap at the legal and technological levels over the past four years to cope with up-to-date international criteria.
Addressing a press conference on Sunday on the bourse's performance from 2013 to 2017, Omran said new registration and disclosure regulations were issued in 2014 to encourage heavy-weight companies to trade in the bourse and curb tinkering with securities' prices to protect investors in the bourse.
He noted that the bourse renewed the cooperation agreement with Odyssey Marine Exploration (NASDAQ:OMEX) to offer technical support services to maintain the bourse's technological development.
