Egyptian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Fayza Abul Naga reviewed on Monday Spain's possible contribution to make a partnership with the Egyptian development during his meeting here today with Spanish Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Juan Antonio, now visiting Cairo. Abul Naga said that Spain contributed to supporting different fields that are important to Egypt through two Protocols. The first was signed on 10/2/1988 where Spain presented Egypt with loans and grants. She added that Spain also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Egypt during the Spanish Monarch's visit to Cairo in 2008, through which Spain presented Egypt with a total of 250 Million Euros. For his part, the Spanish official stressed the importance of supporting Egypt, as it is a friend and a partner, during such an important transitional period.
