Investment Minister Sahar Nasr met Tuesday night with 19 investors and representatives of major funds in the US on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session, currently taking place here.
Nasr reviewed steps taken by Egypt to improve the investment climate, including the passing of a new investment law.
Another law on leasing and factoring has also been endorsed, the minister added.
Amendments have also been made to the laws on companies and money market, Nasr noted.
She urged US investment funds to expand their businesses in Egypt, assuring them that the government would do its best to ease obstacles, if any, facing them.
She touched upon big investment opportunities in mega projects, such as the Suez Canal Development Corridor and the New Capital.
