Al Ain Municipality has delivered keys to 61 Emirati homeowners in Phase One of the Abu Samra Residential Complex project located in Al Ain. The project has been implemented in line with directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to achieve family stability and provide adequate housing for U.A.E. nationals, and as per decree issued by His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces. The Abu Dhabi General Services Company, Musanada, had originally begun work on this project in May 2011, when it was commissioned by the Diwan of His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. The project's duration was just over two years, with work completed during July 2013. With an area of 24.8 hectares, the Abu Samra Residential Complex project included infrastructure works and the construction of 61 residential units. This included all infrastructure, construction and paving of streets, sewerage networks, potable water, telephone and electricity, and other essential services required by residential areas. The total land area of each housing unit is 2,025 square meters, while the total construction area is 585 square meters. Each villa consists of two floors comprising of several Majlis areas, master bedrooms, and service and storage rooms. Mohammed Hareb Al Kitbi, Head of Assets, Al Ain Municipality, said, ''The project, aimed at providing housing that meets the needs and expectations of Emiratis, and promoting social well-being and family stability, has been implemented in line with the objectives of Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. "The housing design took into consideration meeting the needs of Emirati families in terms of capacity, multiplicity of rooms, and provision of all the necessary facilities and services. The project is also an addition to that region, which is witnessing a great development in various sectors," he added.
