His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Tuesday made a field inspection tour of Hatta where he was briefed on the quality of services provided by various government departments and agencies for the citizens and residents of the area. Sheikh Mohammed also visited Mushrif in Hatta where he ordered the Director General of Dubai Municipality to build 250 houses for Emiratis in order to secure adequate healthy housing for every citizen. He began his tour by visiting Hatta Hospital, where he was received by Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director-General of Dubai Health Authority and was briefed on the medical, treatment and health care services provided by the hospital to the citizens and residents of Hatta. Sheikh Mohammed then visited Hatta Municipality where Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, explained the services provided by the municipality and the development and services projects implemented by the civic body to promote the standard of living of the population. Thereafter, he went to the General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners' Affairs in Hatta where upon arrival he and the entourage were received by Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah Al Shafar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, and Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai. He also visited Hatta Border Port Crossing which links the UAE and Oman and was briefed on the new high-tech Border Port Crossing complex, which will be ready to welcome travellers to and from the UAE later this year and will be completed with a total cost of about Dhs35 million.
