Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) announced Wednesday that it completed the process of extinguishing the fire that broke out at Al-Ahmadi refinery's sulfur warehouse which occurred last Sunday evening.
The official spokesman the Executive Vice President of Support Services in KNPC Engineer Khalid Al-Sanosi told KUNA the fire has been finally extinguished and was put under control early Wednesday morning.
He also explained that the fire took time to put out due to the presence of flammable substances, adding that there were no injuries reported amongst the firefighters partaking in the operation. (end) nnb.gta
