Malaysian Ambassador to Jordan Dato Abdul Malek Bin Abdul Aziz said that relief aid provided by his country to Syrian refugees in the Kingdom, comes in response to a call made by His Majesty King Abdullah II to world countries to assist the displaced Syrians and ease their suffering. The ambassador added in a press conference today that the campaign implemented in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) to support the Syrian refugees in Jordan, will last for 11 days. Abdul Azizi added that 140 Malaysian volunteers will take part in the campaign that will include the distribution of food items as well as medical supplies. “The campaign has no political dimensions and it comes in implementation of the directives of the Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib,” he said. President of the Malaysian Youth Club said 300 tons of relief and medical aid will be distributed, adding that more aid will arrive in Amman next Wednesday.
