Islamabad - KUNA

President of All Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Usman Zakria on Monday rejected the call for civil disobedience by the political party Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI).
Usman said that Industrialists across Pakistan reject the appeal for not paying the taxes, bills by PTI chairman Imran Khan. He accused that businessmen have faced losses of over USD 12 million due to the long marches by the political parties and sit-ins in the federal capital Islamabad.
"Politicians should think that how would we manage to import goods from other countries in this condition and if the government cuts electricity connection due to non-payment of bills then daily wages labor would suffer," he said. Musa Saleem, CEO of a leading trading company, told KUNA that the number of containers carrying supplies have been blocked in different areas of Punjab province due to the political uncertainty. He urged the political parties to resolve the issue as soon as possible to let the business community work freely.
Chairman of PTI, the leading political party in northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, lead the marches starting from eastern Lahore city of Punjab province reaching Islamabad on Saturday and continued sit-ins for the third consecutive day.
All the business centers, shops, restaurants, trading companies and educational institutions in the capital are closed or widely effected due to lack of supplies.
