DC Comics has a released a new image of Ben Affleck as Batman in honor of the fictional superhero's 75th anniversary.
"Batman is a major presence at San Diego Comic-Con. He's been seen in comics, film, TV, games, toys and clothing, and it's all represented within the DC Entertainment booth, particularly in the Batman 75th Anniversary montage wall created for the show," read a statement on the company's website. "Within this wall, you can spot many images of the Dark Knight, both old and in some cases very new."
One of the pictures mounted on the wall of San Diego's Comic-Con convention is a close-up of Affleck's face wearing the iconic bat-like mask.
"The filmmakers wanted to include this new cinematic version of the Dark Knight in the anniversary mosaic so it could be discovered by fans!" the statement continued. "The cast and crew behind Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice are excited to be a part of the 75th celebration!"
Affleck will play Bruce Wayne's superhero alter-ego in the second installment of director's Zack Snyder superhero saga Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opposite to Henry Cavill, who will be reprising his role as Clark Kent/Superman.
Co-starring Amy Adams a Louis Lane, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Dawn of Justice will be released on May 6, 2016.
