Jay Z is being sued by his alleged love child, Rymir Satterthwaite.
Satterthwaite, 21, is an aspiring rapper whose godmother, Lillie Coley, filed a paternity suit on his behalf against the 45-year-old recording artist in December 2014. Satterthwaite claims Jay Z and his mother, Wanda Satterthwaite, were involved in the early 1990s.
Robert Graves was believed to be Rymir's father since birth, but proved he was not related with a paternity test after years of paying child support. Wanda Satterthwaite named Jay Z as a possible father in 2010, but a judge dismissed the case due to a lack of jurisdiction.
Satterthwaite and his godmother allege Jay Z lied about his home address in order to avoid taking a paternity test. Coley told the New York Daily News she was surprised word of the suit got out, saying, "All this attention caught us off guard. We didn't expect someone to leak it to the press."
"IW apologize and tell him I never ment him any harm I just wanted to know if u was my dad. It's good to no all your family if you have more," Satterthwaite wrote Thursday on Twitter. "Thanks for all the love and support!!!"
Jay Z and singer Beyoncé married in April 2008, and welcomed their first child, daughter Blue Ivy, in January 2012. The rapper was previously accused of fathering a child with Trinidadian model Shenelle Scott in 2011, but his team dismissed the allegation as a "ridiculous rumor."
