Pop star Justin Bieber announced via Twitter and Instagram that his dog Sammy has died.
Bieber, 20, adopted the rescue dog from a shelter in 2008, but the pet most recently lived with the Los Angeles-based singer's grandparents in Ontario, Canada, because of Bieber's busy schedule, CTV News reported.
Sammy's exact age and cause of death were not disclosed.
"R.i.p Sammy you were the best puppy ever," Bieber wrote in a caption for a photo he posted on Instagram of himself as a teen with the dog.
