Former WWE star Kevin Nash and his teenage son were arrested on battery charges following an incident at their home, authorities in Florida said.
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said Nash, 55, and his 18-year-old son, Tristan, were arrested on battery charges early Christmas Eve and later released without bond.
The sheriff's office report said the family quarreled when Tristan Nash came home drunk. Deputies said Tristan Nash told them his father berated him about his relationship with his girlfriend before grabbing him by the neck, throwing him to the ground and laying across his chest.
The teenager said he had trouble breathing and blacked out for a short time.
Kevin Nash told deputies his son started the fight by spitting on him and striking him with his shoulder and elbow. He said he wrestled his son to the ground to protect his wife.
Deputies arrested Kevin Nash, but were called back to the home two hours later by Tristan Nash's mother and uncle, who said the teen attacked them after his father was taken away.
The WWE said Kevin Nash has not been a regular performer since January 2004.
"He is currently under a non-wrestling 'legends' contract which has been immediately suspended until this domestic dispute is resolved," the organization said in a statement.
