Mindy Kaling's brother lied about being black to get into med school

Mindy Kaling's older brother Vijay Chokal-Ingam made headlines over the weekend after sharing on his website a story about how he got into medical school by lying about his race.
Chokal-Ingam claims on his blog Almost Black that he was wait listed applied at University of Pennsylvania, Washington University and Mt. Sinai when he applied as Indian-American.
The self-proclaimed "affirmative action hacktivist" then decided to apply again under a different name and race.
