Oprah Winfrey has spoken out about Donald Sterling's recent comments about race. The 60-year-old media giant appeared on CBS This Morning Tuesday to promote her new collaboration with Starbucks. The conversation turned to Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling's inflammatory comments about race, statements that Winfrey attributed to a "plantation mentality." "In the 21st century, in 2014, it just doesn't fit," she says of Sterling's comments. "I'm waiting to see what they're going to do, because something has to be done." Winfrey was adamant that action needs to be taken "now," and addressed the controversy again as she left the CBS building. "We're all off the plantation," she tells TMZ Sports. "The plantation days are over." The television personality denies that she plans to purchase the Clippers, but suggests that Magic Johnson might be interested. Johnson was one of the subjects of Sterling's racist rant, and has said himself that he may buy the Clippers to take control away from Sterling.
