Scout Willis has been on a crusade to fight Instagram's nudity policies.
The 22-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore was spotted walking topless around New York City as a way of protesting the image sharing site's fear of nipples.
"Legal in NYC but not on @instagram," she captioned a picture shared on Twitter of hersef buying flowers without her top on.
"Why does @instagram allow photos of heroin being used but deletes a photo of a print of some smoke shows without tops on???" Willis wrote on Twitter on May 20. "Like people are legitimately selling heroin on @instagram but photos of breasts are just too too much for this world..."
Willis has been using the hashtag #freethenipple throughout her campaign -- which mainly consists of her posting photos of breasts on Twitter that Instagram would ban -- and has been consistent about answering to criticism from both those who support her and those who don't.
Asked why she was taking the whole thing so personally Willis explained that "it has nothing to do with me posting nudes on Instagram."
"It's about the basic hypocrisy of what is and isn't allowed. Violence, drugs, and the general degradation of women is ok but areola is 100% taboo. That's why I am mad."
Willis' fight against the image-sharing site comes weeks after singer Rihanna was banned from Instagram because of her inappropriate pictures. Willis' account has also been shut down.
